Our Team
Morgan
After eight years at A-Z, Morgan officially became the proud owner of the salon in November 2025. She began her journey in 2017 as the Saturday dog washer while still at school, never imagining that pet grooming would become her full- time career. However, she quickly fell in love with the job and, after leaving school, moved into a full-time role.
Through dedication and hard work, Morgan steadily progressed through the team to become lead groomer. In 2023, she completed her Level 3 Dog Grooming Diploma- just months before welcoming her first baby boy, Noah. In November 2025, following the retirement of founder Emma Betts, Morgan took over ownership of A-Z Animal Care along side her partner Brett, only 3 months after giving birth to their second son, Kody.
Returning to work so soon while stepping into such a significant role has been challenging, but with the support of her partner Brett and the A-Z team, the salon continues to thrive and provide the highest standard of care for every pet that walks though it’s doors.
Morgan is an avid animal lover and shares her home with two miniature dachshunds, two cats and a couple of goldfish. Her two cheeky pups, Arlo and Sage, often accompany her to work and can be spotted around the salon from time to time.
Katie
Describing her role with us as the best job she has ever had, Katie has now been apart of the A-Z team for 9 years. Everyday presents a unique challenge and she finds enormous fun in the variety of animal personalities she works with. Katie is our resident teeth-cleaning expert and likes nothing better than restoring a set of dirty doggy gnashers back to pearly whites.
With three cats, two dogs and two horses at home, Katie’s rural idyll is the stuff of dreams, and the big open sky means she is in the perfect place to indulge in her other love – plane spotting! Katie holds a Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming as well as a diploma in Animal Psychology.
Kim
Kim has been a fixture at A-Z for many years, starting in 2008 as a receptionist and shop manager. And while she took early retirement in 2017 we just couldn’t keep her away as she returned back in 2021 to the fold to put her organisational prowess to work again and she’s been welcomed back with open arms. Not least because aside from being a monumental organising extraordinaire, Kim is a spectacular cake baker and she can be relied upon to keep us at A-Z topped up with the sweet stuff!
Kim grew up around dogs, and Luna and Sully are Kim’s current furry loves – two fluffy soft-coated Wheaten Terriers. They keep Kim and her husband on their toes now that their two daughters have grown up. And when the dogs are not getting their grooms in the shop, they can be found pulling Kim around the local muddy fields and along the coast, ruining all of A-Z’s good work in the process!
Alongside spending time with her doggies, Kim is now a proud Nana to three beautiful grandchildren who she love spending time with, making wonderful memories as they grow up.
Kim loves talking to people, and front of house is where she thrives, so why not come in and say hi and see her in her element?
