Frequently Asked Questions

“The cost of Dog Grooming really does depend on many factors. We see all shapes and sizes of dogs, and owners want lots of different services. We can often carry out the following Bath Clip / Scissor / style to the owners choice Nail clip, Ear clean and Glands if requested.”

“We welcome all pets at A-Z Animal Care and our trained staff will give you and your pet a warm welcome. We ask that you leave your pet with us so we can give them our full attention. If you want to leave a toy or a blanket with them that is fine and you are always welcome to give us a phone call whilst your pet is with us to check on them.”

“When you take your pet to the groomers we will give them a really good check over in the bath and check if they have any fleas. Should we find fleas on your pet we will let you know. We will endeavour to wash as many of them off your pet along with brushing them out whilst drying them. This will not solve the issue though and we will recommend that you treat your pet with a prescription flea treatment and also treat your house and car. We can recommend products when you collect your pet.”

“If your pet is coming to see us for a groom (bath & haircut) we usually allow a 4 hour slot. This enables us to give your pet a rest during the session. That means they aren’t rushed through the salon.

‘If you have a particularly nervous or anxious pet then of course we can always reduce the time they are with us.

‘If your pet is coming in for a nail trim then this is a quick procedure and you are welcome to sit in your car in the car park or have a look round the garden centre next door.”

“This very much depends on the breed of dog and how much brushing and combing is done at home and what style you are looking for. We will always work with our clients to advise them what they need to do and how often they need to come to us to achieve the look and style that they want.”

“Yes. We can cut your dog’s nails either as part of a groom or you can pop in and have your dog’s nails trimmed when they need them”
